Still trying to find a miniature float valve in Australia to control water loss in aquarium due to evaporation

Float valve is fitted in the filtration sump and when the water level drops the valve opens and water flows from storage container. Answers I've had have been from America and valves not available.Still trying to find a miniature float valve in Australia to control water loss in aquarium due to evaporation
How much water are you losing on average?

Normal evaporation generally is not a problem if you are doing weekly water changes ect.

If you go to http://www.thewaterbowl.com/squirrelcart they may be able to order something for you however it would possibly be helpful if you knew of a brand etc to give them some information to go by.

I have never heard of doing things this way, I have a few tanks and none of them loose so much water that i can't keep up with it with weekly water changes and occasional top-ups.Still trying to find a miniature float valve in Australia to control water loss in aquarium due to evaporation
Try a toilet flush valve, with the float set to the desired level.
