When my car is idling it stalls. could this be the idle air control valve acting up?

It's a possibility if it runs ok otherwise. Also could be a vacuum leak at brake booster and it could be the throttle position sensor. The iac sometimes sticks. When my car is idling it stalls. could this be the idle air control valve acting up?
could be...or fuel pressure regulator or fuel filter..just a few things to consider...have a mechanic take a look at itWhen my car is idling it stalls. could this be the idle air control valve acting up?
MOST likely but if you really dont know about auto or dont know how to test the IAC then you should probably take it to a shop and get it diagnosed then you can do the repair if its simple
I'm an automotive mechanic... more than likely, it is NOT the IAC valve. When you put a load on it (put it into reverse, drive) does it become worse? Check the connections to your MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Or you could be misfiring. I wouldn't know exactly, because I do not know what kind of car you have. However, take it to a garage and ask them to run a diagnostics check on your vehicle. If the check engine light is on, this is mandatory. Good luck!
Yes, it could be. If the idle air control is not working, then it will not properly allow air flow on idle, causing low and rough idle.
