Does anyone know if its expensive to get fixed and would it be the way i drove the car to make this happenMy opel corsa car broke down and i was told its idle speed control valve, why did this happen %26amp; is it serious?
it will cost you 拢5 from a breakers yard...and no,lol, its not they way uyou drive. My opel corsa car broke down and i was told its idle speed control valve, why did this happen %26amp; is it serious?
you say your car broke down. is your car cutting out when comming too a stop this would be an idle valve but the car would start and run again . as iv seen a lot of these replaced because the computer has told them this is the problem when it was infact the mass air flow meter was faulty or timming chain jumped who told you its the i.c.v and whats happening with your car also what age is it and what engine is it. and in answer too your question no it wouldnt have been because of your driving just part of the joy of motoring

new mass air flow meters are 拢70 their easy too check unplug it and start car up if it runs better than when its plugged in then its the m.a.f sensor
cost you around 拢90, a second hand one is fine if you can guarantee it works.

common fault on these and nothing to do with how you drive the car.
