Where is ford escort zetec air control valve?

I have a problem with uneven idle speed and engine stalling, ford diagnostic didn't show electical problem. I suspect it's something to do with the airflow or induction systemWhere is ford escort zetec air control valve?
its at the rear of the engine where the inlet manifold is, difficult to get at iac valve from above, you need to get at it from underneath and still not easiest one to remove, but when off wash the valve ports with carb cleaner, and refit, it might improve but if not my need new one, also worth checking is the pcv valve, and thats at front of engine on the right as you look at engine, you will see small rubber pipe that pushes in to a small valve, they play up sometimes, to check if its faulty, clamp off the pipe and note idle speed and smoothness. if it gets better , that could be your problem, good luck,
