For which application globe control valve is use and butter fly control valve use?

in process we r using various type of control valve , i want to know about which control valve more sutiable for fluid, steam, gas, solidFor which application globe control valve is use and butter fly control valve use?
A globe valve has a better flow characteristic. That is the flow tends to be more proportional to percent open. There are several different versions of the globe type control valves with different variations from a pure lineal version. This means you can get a better response from the valves to meet the systems flow requirements.

A butterfly valve is best as an open/close control valve but they can also be used for proportional control but not with the same degree of precise response as a globe valve.

Butterfly valves also tend to be used in very large lines where a globe type control valve is not manufactured or is too expensive. A third type of valve is available for large flow rates that is neither a globe or butterfly. It is a V-Ball valve.

With regard to the fluid being handled, the material of construction for the seat and globe will usually vary rather than the type of valve.

The science and art of designing and selecting control valves is really too complex to be answered here. Some of the control valve manufacturers have information on control valve selection that might be helpful. You might try contacting someone like Fisher Controls. For which application globe control valve is use and butter fly control valve use?
I will rstrict myself to only the types other wise the selection criteria are many.

GLOBE: These are used for controlling a process parameter loop. They cause medium pr. drop %26amp; are ideal for clean fluids. The shape of the stem is contoured to get the desired characteristics. The repeatability of the type in flow control make it ideal for closed loop control.

BUTTERFLY: These are low pr drop devise that are used primarily where u can't allow higher pressure drops. Good for clean fluids in on/off service. Even allowed for gases. it opens/shuts faster than other types of valves. Sealing characteristics are not as good as ball valve, particularly unsuitable for fluids containing solids.
