I have never actually head of an ';ECV'; but if it will cause problems with your emissions it will also cause problems with gas mileage and the power of you car. as well as other mechanical problems. if it is hooked up to your car computer it might also send bad readings which will effect every other thing hooked up to the computer. if there is a part on your car that is broken you should get it fixed. there is usually a reason why its there.If the emissions control valve went bad in a car, what will happen if left unfixed?
